Which pages currently have these links

Most pages on this site have no affiliate links. Right now, Amazon US, Amazon UK, Amazon Australia or Amazon Japan links appear in eight parts of the site:

The article Lower-Risk Gifts When You Don't Yet Know Someone's Preferences, where a handful of the specific ideas in that piece (tea, coffee, chocolate, notebooks, pens, notecards) link to a matching Amazon US product search, each individually marked right next to the idea it relates to.
The article Near or Far: Grandparents Day Gifts That Don't Add More Stuff, where three category-level ideas link to matching Amazon US product searches.
The Gift Finder home page, where some recommendation cards include a nearby category-level Amazon US search link selected for that particular combination of recipient, life stage, occasion, and budget. Some ideas intentionally have no shopping link. The site has a larger set of configured links behind the 60 possible Gift Finder combinations, but a visitor sees only the links relevant to the answers selected in that session.

Marketplace-specific links

Links marked Amazon US go to Amazon.com, links marked Amazon UK go to Amazon.co.uk, links marked Amazon Australia go to Amazon.com.au, and Japanese links marked 「【広告】Amazon.co.jp アフィリエイトリンク」 go to Amazon.co.jp. The marketplace named beside the link is the one associated with GiftChemistry's affiliate account; a purchase on another Amazon marketplace may not generate a commission. GiftChemistry does not currently have New Zealand or other European marketplace affiliate links set up. Pricing, availability, delivery and any regional redirection are controlled by Amazon.

What these links actually are

Each link goes to an Amazon US, UK, Australia or Japan search results page for a general product category (for example, "tea gift set"), not to one specific product. GiftChemistry does not link to individual product pages, and does not display or copy any Amazon product images, prices, star ratings, or reviews on this site — what you see on this site is our own description of an idea or category; what you see on Amazon after you click is whatever Amazon is currently showing for that search, which can change at any time and is entirely outside GiftChemistry's control.

Does this affect what GiftChemistry recommends?

The Gift Finder's personalized suggestions and the ideas in our articles are written first, based on the same editorial reasoning as the rest of this site. Whether or not a particular idea happens to have an Amazon link attached doesn't determine whether it appears, and some ideas intentionally have no shopping link at all. GiftChemistry does not accept payment from Amazon or any retailer to feature a specific idea or product category; a commission is possible only if a reader chooses to follow a clearly marked link and then makes a qualifying purchase.
